The death of Margaret Mary Cox of Saint John, wife of the late H. Aubrey Cox occurred on Friday, August 13, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born at St. Johns, NF on September 17, 1925 to the late Fred and Nora (Curran) Power.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Lee Ann Toner (Robert) of Saint John; son, Larry Cox of Saint John; five sisters: Patricia Darcy of St. Johns, NF, Helen Amodeo (Michael) of Mississauga, ON, Sheila Mahoney (Tom) of St. Johns, NF, Betty Ross (Dale) of Bobcaygeon, ON and Donna Spratt (Tony) of St. Johns, NF; four sisters-in-law, Shirley, Evelyn, and Gloria Power and Norma Vallis; seven grandchildren; two great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Margaret was predeceased by her son, Paul Cox; three brothers, Ted, Bud, and Bill Power.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424, with visiting on Sunday from 7 to 9 PM and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Joachim's Church, 603 Loch Lomond Road on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 11 AM. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
