MILNE - Minnie Elizabeth May, late of Birch Hills, passed away on August 11, 2010 at the age of 92 years. Minnie, younger daughter of James and Hilda (Churchill) Milne. She was born October 1, 1917 at the family farm 6 miles SW of Birch Hills. After a year at University of Saskatchewan, she studied psychiatric nursing at the hospital in North Battleford and remained there until 1972, when she became Director of Care at the Battleford Regional Care Center until 1978 when she retired and returned to Birch Hills. Minnie is survived by her nephew, James Rude and predeceased by her father (1951), mother (1964), brother-in-law Istien Rude (1996) sister Blanche Rude (2001) and several cousins. Thank you to Dr.Nel and the nursing staff at VH, Prince Albert and the staff at Birchview Nursing Home, and her many dear friends. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Birch Hills Civic Centre with Jim Atcheson Officiating. Interment St. Saviour's Cemetery.
