Dale James Borrowman late of Bowness District of Calgary formerly of La Ronge and Prince Albert passed away Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the age of 65 years. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 29 from Cornerstone Free Methodist Church - 2200 - 15th Avenue East, Prince Albert, SK. Pastor Daniel Graham will officiate. He is survived by his stepmother Iris Borrowman-Clark (Ken Clark); his brothers Morgan (Linda) of Kelowna, BC, Roy (Betty) of Saskatoon, SK, Bob (Anne) of Prince Albert, SK, Bruce (Patricia) of Mackenzie, BC, Gordon (Benita) of Prince Albert, SK; his sisters Lois Borrowman of Prince Albert, SK, Cathy Bendle (Cec) of Prince Albert, SK, Tanya Tompkins (Steve) of Moose Jaw, SK; his special grandchildren Stephanie Halkett, Samantha Venne, John “Chico” Halkett, Terrance Bird, Anna Marie Bird, Vanessa Ergang, Art Goertzen, Garry Goertzen of LaRonge, SK & Alberta; his numerous nieces, nephews, step-children & friends across Western Canada as well as his long time friends in Calgary, including Bill Brendt & Les Hynman. He was predeceased by his mother Reta Borrowman (Johnstone) in 1950, his father Orville James Borrowman in 1987, his wife Maggie Borrowman (Roberts) in January 2006; grandparents Dr’s. Thomas & Minnie Borrowman. All friends and family are welcome to join in the celebration of Dale’s life. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 30 at the Lac La Ronge Band Cemetery. It is the family’s request that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Foothills Hospital Dialysis unit in Dale’s name.
