MEYERS – Edward “Ed”
April 27, 1917 – May 27, 2009
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ed Meyers, our beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather (paga). Ed passed away peacefully with family by his side at Mont St. Joseph’s Home in Prince Albert on May 27, 2009 at the age of 92 years. He will be forever remembered for his patience and quiet way. Ed was born in Edmonton, Alberta on April 27, 1917. He married Rita Fortin and together they settled in Prince Albert to raise their son Dave. Ed worked at Burns as a purchasing agent, then moved with Rita to Regina where he was employed by Pasqua Hospital as an Administrator for many years until his retirement in 1982. Ed moved back to Prince Albert about a year ago to be closer to his family and became a resident of Mont St. Joseph’s Home. Ed is survived by his son Dave (Laura) Meyers; granddaughter Pam Meyers; grandson Darryl (Jamie) Meyers and their children Karissa, Dawson and Christopher; his brother Carl Meyers; his sisters Dell Sundbo and Margaret Berrow as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Ed has now gone to be with his wife Rita and all the other family and friends who went on before him. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2009 at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to charity of donor’s choice.
