Evelyn Violet Trites, of Saint John, N.B. passed away on August 15th, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Evelyn worked with the Red Cross for 18 years. She is survived by three daughters, Marion of Saint John, Irene (Fraser) of Coles Island, Valerie of Saint John; three step children Ruthie (Dave) of the Kingston Peninsula, Raymond (Jennifer) of Ontario and Paul of the Kingston Peninsula; eight grandchildren Cindy (Randall) of Millcove, Lisa of British Columbia, Tommy (Mary-Carol) of Coles Island, Derek of Coles Island, Melinda of Newfoundland, Samantha (Nelson) of Calgary, Charity (Mark) Saint John, and Crystal (Colin) of Saint John; 16 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; cousin Margaret of Grand Bay-Westfield; several nieces and nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by her first husband Gordon Henderson and her second husband Willard Trites; sisters Grace Cole, Thelma, Jessie, one brother Sonny, her mother Hilda McCull, her father Orland McClean and two great grand children Tiffany and Jacklyn.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424), visiting hours will on Wednesday, August 18 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, August 19 at 2 pm from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
