1925 - 2010 - Marjorie Price passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, August 16, 2010. Born in England a daughter of the late Percy and Ivy (Spurway) Read. Marjorie served overseas during WWII with the Women's Territorial Services, proud member of the Moncton War Brides, as well as the Allison Women's Institute and a member of the Legion Branch # 31. In her retirement, she spent many hours crocheting and knitting, many of her creations she donated to senior homes, Neonatal and Oncology Units, watching classic movies and spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Rosalind "Rose" (late Tom) Maxwell, son, Robin Allen Price, seven grandchildren, Michael (Mary), Kimberly (Chris), Cindy (Rodney), Stacey (Art), Connie (Rick), Twila (Jeff) and Tammy (Bernie), great grandchildren, Jeremy (Mila), Jonathan (Janice), Kelsey, Max, Brandon, Erika, Jesse, Jodi, Lucas, Markus, Jaime and Chloe. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Lynley, Gwen and Gladys (Gerald), brother-in-law, Kenneth as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her husband George W. Price (1980), three brothers, Maurice, Raymond and Austin.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 2:00 pm followed by a reception in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Marjorie's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
