Rice, Francis Forbes, 84, of Belmont, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 in the Colchester Regional Hospital Truro. Born in Annapolis Royal, he was a son of the late Reginald and Agnes (Holliday) Rice. He was a veteran of the 2nd World War serving overseas. He was a former employee of Massey Ferguson in Brantford, ON. He is survived by his wife the former Reta Mae Fielding; step-sons, Ken Blair (Vie Legere), Truro; Fred Blair (Anne), Hilden; step-daughters, Shirley Blair (Steve Coulter), Brantford, ON; Maxine Jollimore, River John; several step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Isabel "Ted" and Margaret; brother, Thomas. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro. No visitation by request. A graveside service and interment will be held 11am today, August 20, in the Onslow Island Cemetery, with The Rev. Lori Ramsey officiating. No flowers by request.
