The death occurred at the Halifax Infirmary, Nova Scotia, with his family by his side on Friday, May 29, 2009, of Clifford Gallant of Mont Carmel at the age of 68 years. He is the son of late Avis and Agatha (nee Thompson) Gallant. He is survived by his beloved wife, Theresa (nee Bernard) and son Allan Gallant of Mont Carmel, and daughters, Linda (David) Redman of Oromocto, N.B., Michelle Gallant of Summerside and Nancy (David) Richard of Egmont Bay, also by brothers and sister, Clarence (Eunice) Gallant of Cape Egmont, Elsie Murray (Lawrence Arsenault) of Summerside and Ralph Gallant (Phyllis) of Summerside, and sister-in-law, Shirley. He was pepe to nine grandchildren, Shawn, Christopher, April Dawn, Adam, Albert, Rachelle, Chantal, Shelley, Darren and two great-grandchildren Andrew and Brooke, inlaws, Eva Wilfred Gallant, Julie Paugh, Marcella Bernard, Louise (Percy) Rushton, Rosella Gallant, (Ernie Paugh), Claire (Anthony) Gallant and Frankie (Jackie) Bernard. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter Nancy in infancy, grandson, Daniel and sister-in-law, Mae Maddix and brother-in-law, Eric Bernard. Resting at the Evangeline Funeral Home until Monday, then to Notre Dame du Mont Carmel Church for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donation to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Visitation will be on Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
