The family announces the peaceful passing of Peggy Farrell, on Friday. May 29, 2009. at the QEII, Halifax.
Born in Christmas Island, Cape Breton, she was the daughter of the late John and Cecilia (MacLean) Farrell.
Peggy was a devoted mother to her children, Brad and Tiffany, and a loving partner to Roger Covin.
She will be sadly missed by her siblings, Cathy (Malcolm), Dan, Johnny (Betty), Mary Jo (Malkie), Lennie (Ann), Anne Marie, Angie, Marion (Sandy), Irene (Dan), Roddie (Gayle), Lexie (Norman) and Foncie (Mary); her sister-in-law, Georgina Farrell, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Peggy was predeceased by her sister, Lizzie, and her brother, Neil.
Visitation will take place (today) Monday, June 1, at St. Barra Church, Christmas Island, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. at St. Barra Church, Christmas Island. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
