1925 - 2010 - Marie Sylvie Bastarache, 85 of Bouctouche passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her residence on Sunday August 22nd, 2010. She was married to the late Harry Bastarache (2000). Born in Bouctouche on February 23rd, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Elie J. and the late Madeleine (Girouard) Bastarache. She will be sadly missed by her four children, Ella Bastarache (Lyle Razny) of Bouctouche, Bernice Cormier (Léonard), Jeannine Léger both of Cocagne, and Désiré (Pauline) of Bouctouche, eight grandchildren, Peggy, Michel, Daniel, Gilles, Jacques, Luc, Suzanne, Slyvie and six great grandchildren, Mélanie, Mathieu, Chelsey, Ashley, Kloe, Dominick, one sister Sara Lirette (Georges) of Bouctouche and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by one daughter Yvette, two sisters, Hélène and Rita, and three brothers, Eddie, Judes and Gerard.
Visitation will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche on Wednesday, August 25th, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Thursday from 12:30 to 2:15 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church Bouctouche on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 2:30 pm. Internment will be in the parish cemetery. In Marie's memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundation - Extra Mural. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
