Mary Isabelle Marshall, 77, Millbrook, passed away peacefully at the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro, early Sunday, May 31, 2009. She was surrounded by her family and friends.
Mary was born in Truro, N.S., the daughter of the late Charlie and Rachael (Julian) Marshall.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Nora and Theresa and brother David.
She is survived by her only child, Craig Marshall, Millbrook; brothers, Fred and Stephen Marshall, both of Millbrook; sisters, Blanche Mousseau, Millbrook, Florence Delaney, Hingham, MA., and Trudy Shea, Boston, MA.; many nieces and nephews.
Mary was an extremely hard worker, who worked in Montreal and Boston, MA. in various jobs. She was a generous person, with a sharp wit and liked to make people laugh. She also enjoyed dancing and sharing old stories.
Open visitation will be held at 67 Tower Rd., beginning on Monday, June 1 at 1 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 3 in Sacred Heart Church, Millbrook First Nation, Father Joseph Thomas officiating.A meal and reception will follow at the Millbrook Community Hall. Cremation and family burial to take place at a later date. Family flowers only and donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of the donor’s choice, gratefully appreciated.
