Daniel Fraser Fudge, passed away after a lengthy illness at Alderwood Rest Home in Baddeck, NS on May 30, 2009.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late George and Rachel (Morrison) Fudge.
He is survived by his wife, Connie (Spracklin) of Sydney; sons David (Joan); Windsor NS; Parker; (Raylene) Glace Bay; Keith (Jill); Halifax and daughter Shauna (Robert) McMahon; Halifax. Grandchildren Steven, Danielle, Nathan and many nieces and nephews. Brothers Alistair and Watson Fudge (NS) and sister Olive Moutsos (BC). Predeceased by sisters Sally, Alice, and Lillian.
Danny was employed for over 30 years at Bolands formerly Masons Wholesale. He started out as a salesman and retired as manager of the business. Customers will remember Danny as always caring about small business.
When he was young he was an avid sportsman and spent several years coaching baseball. He coached the Sydney Kiwanis Cardinals to Provincial Championship in 1955.
Visitation will be at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Tuesday June 2, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The memorial service will be held on Wednesday June 3, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Sydney Memorial Chapel.
