GUSHUE, John P.– Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on October 5, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer, in the presence of his loving family, John Gushue of Colliers, age 72 years. Predeceased by his parents George and Sarah Gushue; his sister and brother-in-law Josephine and James Lewis; sisters Mary Escott and Noreen Hickey; his mother-in-law and father-in-law John and Caroline Cole; brothers-in-law Neil and John Cole. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife of 40 years Catherine; son John (Jo-Anne), Calgary, AB; daughters Caroline (Richard Lane), Holyrood; Georgina (Alex Collanthes), Calgary, AB; and his precious grandchildren Jeffery, Jordan, Avery, Anson and Gwyneth; his brothers George (Bertha) Bacon Cove; Francis (Sheila), Bacon Cove; Patrick (Laura), Kitchuses; Richard (Maude), Bacon Cove; Gordon (Catherine), Fort McMurray, AB; William (Mary), Bacon Cove; Leonard (Anne Marie), Marysvale; his sisters Agnes Humby, St. John's; Alice (Fred Clairmont), Holyrood; Sarah (Leo Fitzpatrick), St. John's; Catherine (Junior Conway), St. John's; Madeline Lewis, St. John’s; Rose (Rod Sparkes), Pickering, ON and brother-in-law Ike Escott; his sisters-in-law Helen (Yves Pission), Leamington, ON; Theresa (Eric Brewin), St. John’s; Ann (Bill Cantwell), Avondale; brothers-in-law Tom Cole, Flatrock; Nick Cole (Donna), Colliers; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews and friends.
