George Edward Robinson II, 84 years of age, of Covehead and formerly of Robinsons Island, stepped into the presence of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on May 31, 2009, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown. Loving husband of Irene Joyce (nee Neat). Dedicated father of George Edward III, Eric Paul (Pattie), Stephen Mark (Sharon), Susan Joy (Sidney Newell) and Kevin Shawn (Sherry). Grandfather to 12 grandchildren and great-grandfather to 17 great-grandchildren. Brother of Lillian Stewart (late Waldo), Verna Younker (Omar), Dorothy MacLeod (Harold), Virden (late Eva MacDonald) and Gerald (Eleanor). Predeceased by his brother, William Earl; and his parents, George Edward I and Bertha Mae (nee Vessey). Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment in West Covehead Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 7-9 p.m. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation of P.E.I. would be appreciated.
