The death of Jean M. deVarennes, formerly of 165 Charles Street East Saint John, NB occurred at Embassy Hall Quispamsis, NB on Friday August 27, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. Jean was the wife of the late Laurie T. deVarennes. She was born in Moncton, N.B., the daughter of the late Gordon and Minnie (Steeves) Groundwater, predeceased by brothers William, Ralph, George, Kenneth and James and one sister Hazel. She is survived by her three daughters Janice and Allison Yeomans, Karen and Michael Daley, and Lorie deVarennes all of Saint John, six grandchildren Susan Moore (Nick), Andrew, Matthew (Tara) and Kristina Daley, Katie and Brianne Lawlor; two great-granddaughters, Jeana Moore and Kiera Daley; one brother Harry Groundwater of Moncton; several nieces and nephews.
At Jean's request a private graveside service will be held at a later date. Jean will be laid to rest with her husband at Cedar Hill Ext Cemetery.
