Desmond Anthony Morley of Woodstock, NB. passed peacefully while surrounded by family and friends Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Upper River Valley Hospital he was 68. Born December 2, 1941 in Manchester, England son of the late Frederick and Monica (Kennedy) Morley of Manchester, England. Desmond is survived by his wife Brenda Morley (Peachey) of Woodstock, N.B., his mother-in-Law Janette Pennington of England, his sister and brother-in-law Monica (Roger) Fitzgerald of Bury, Lancashire, England, his brother Michael Morley of England. Desmond also left behind his children Suzanne (Trevor) Fisher of La Crete, Alberta and Mark (Trisha) Peachey of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, his adopted son and daughter Blair and Rosalyn Hyslop of Quispamsis, N.B., eight wonderful grandchildren Matthew, Dawson, Janette, Hannah, Meghan, Josie, Emma and Noah. Desmond was a practicing lawyer in the Province of NB and also worked for many years as the Executive Director of the Federation of New Brunswick Faculty Associations.
Visitation will be held at Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, N.B. on Monday, August 30, 2010 from 7 to 9 pm and on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Gertrude's Roman Catholic Church, Woodstock, NB, on Wednesday, September 1st at 11 am, Father Bill Brennan officiating.
