It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of our dear brother and friend Douglas Lamson on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at his residence in Dartmouth, N.S.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Robert and Eileen (Cuff) Lamson.
Dougie had many friends and enjoyed meeting them at McDonald's for coffee. He also loved to make phone calls to his brothers and sisters. He enjoyed drawing, sports and going to church.
He is survived by sisters, Ann Lamson, Kathy Peddle, Debbie MacNeil, Delores (Alex) Lee; brothers, Glenn (Christine) Lamson, Donnie (Shirley) Lamson and Wayne Lamson, many nieces and nephews and friends, especially caseworker Keith Lawlor.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his niece, Brandi MacNeil.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2, at S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney with Pastor Sheldon Chant officiating. Reception to follow. Interment will be in Hardwood Hill Cemetery.
