Elmira Mary Daigle (née Kelly) - (1931-2010) -
KOUCHIBOUGUAC, NB - Elmira Mary Daigle 79, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 2nd, 2010 at the Dr.-Georges-L.-Dumont Regional Hospital, Moncton. Born in Kouchibouguac, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma Daigle Kelly. Before retiring, Elmira worked taking care of the elderly, and also worked at the Dairy Queen in Fredericton. Elmira was a member of the St. James Roman Catholic Church, Kouchibouguac and also of the Kouchibouguac Senior's Club. Elmira is survived by one daughter; Muriel Campbell (John) of the Kingston Peninsula; one son, Henry Daigle (Deborah) of Mactaquac; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Patricia, Sarah, Melony, Nicole; seven great grandchildren, Rebecca, Katelyn, Ashley, Andrew, Sammy, Julia, Sophia; two sisters, Freda Rogers (late Robert) of Saint John, Anita Kelly of Saint Charles, as well as many nieces and nephews. Other than by her parents, Elmira is predeceased by her husband; Luke Daigle; two sons, Bernard, Vernon; three sisters, Mable, Hattie, Sadie, and four brothers; Walter, Herbert, James, and Melvin.
Resting at Thompson's Memorial Home, Saint Louis, with visitation on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00PM and 7:00 to 9:00PM, as well as Monday from 9:00AM until the departure for the funeral. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 6th 2010 at 11:00 am at the St. James Roman Catholic Church, Kouchibouguac, followed by burial in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic cemetery, Pointe-Sapin.
