Passed peacefully away at his residence on Tuesday, August 31, 2010, Augustus 'Gus' Ash of Carbonear, age 68 years. Predeceased by father: Arthur and sister: Iva Green. Left to mourn, wife: Cora; two daughters: Beverley (Glen) Trickett, Broad Cove and Denise (Jonathan) Pederson, Regina, SK; mother: Elizabeth Ash, Clarke's Beach; two grandchildren: Hayley and Caleb; two brothers: David (Marilyn), Mount Pearl and Gord (Debbie), Victoria; two sisters: Lina (Sidney) Payne and Gloria (Norman) Peddle, both of Heart's Content; brother-in-law: Eric Green, Heart's Content; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Capts. Darin and Wendy Boone conducted the funeral service on Saturday, Sept. 4 at the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbonear. Interment took place in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Carbonear. Donations in his memory may be made to the Gus Ash Memorial Fund.
