Géraldine Cormier, 72, of Moncton, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital. Born on March 15, 1938 in Haute-Aboujagane, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Evangéline (Richard) Cormier. She is survived by her common-law husband, Léo Bourque of Moncton; two daughters: Linda Cormier (Larry Savoie) of Dieppe and Edith Cormier of Dieppe; three sisters: Clémence Ouellet (late Joseph) of Shediac, Annie LeBlanc (late Roger) of Dieppe and Irma LeBlanc (Albert) of Scoudouc; five brothers: Fred of Shediac, Donald (Joan) of Halifax, Edvin of Victoria, BC, Gérald (Claudia) of Grand-Barachois and Normand (Bernadette) of Haute-Aboujagane; two sisters-in-law: Thérèse Arsenault and Claire Cormier, both of Haute-Aboujagane; two goddaughters: Odette Landry (Médor) and Jeanne Robichaud (Marcel) as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters: Edna and Elise as well as three brothers: Valerie, Joseph and Ernie.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of departure (10:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral, Moncton, on Monday, September 6, 2010 at 11 a.m. The family will have a reception at the Christ-Roi Golden Age Club (305 Dominion Street) following the funeral.
