1928-2010 - Bay du Vin- Gerald Benson Kingston, husband of Mary Kingston, of the Bay du Vin River Road, Bay du Vin, passed away at his residence, on Friday evening, September 3, 2010, at the age of 82. Born in Bay du Vin, on August 5, 1928, he was the son of the late Clifford and Ferne (Johnston) Kingston. He was a laborer and a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Bay du Vin; a Korean War Veteran, serving with the R.C.H.A. (Royal Canadian Horse Artillery). He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Williston; two daughters, Kathy Durelle (Gilles) and Wendy Kingston, all of Bay du Vin; four sons, Gerry Kingston (Heather), of Wainwright AB, Dougie Kingston (Pam), of Calgary, AB, Ricky Kingston (Lesley), of Bay du Vin, Roddy Kingston (Verna), of Miramichi; four sisters, Ivy Froehler, of Edmonton, AB, Lil Letcher, of Kelona, B.C., Sue Adcock (Tom), of Innisfail, AB, Carole Brand, of bay du Vin; five grandchildren, Tanya, Shelly, Shane, Lisa, Matt; two great grandchildren, Shiloh and Alex. He was predeceased by two brothers, Windsor and Lloyd Kingston.
Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King Street, Miramichi, on Sunday only, from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin, on Monday, September 6, 2010, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Richard Steeves. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Please note - members of Branch # 3, Royal Canadian Legion are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Sunday evening, at 7:30 pm, for a Veterans Service. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. John the Evangelist Church or the N.B. lung assoc., would be appreciated by the family.
