Manford Billings

The passing of Manford "Pamp" Oscar Billings of Douglas, NB, husband of Clara (Shaw) Billings occurred on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 9, 1927 in Central Hainesville, NB, he was the son of the late Dow and Elizabeth (Marr) Billings. Manford worked for Lawson Motors for many years; he also did janitorial work at the Douglas and Keswick Ridge Elementary Schools. In addition to his wife, Manford is survived by his daughter, Deborah (Frank) Williams of Scotch Lake, NB; grandchildren, Melissa (Trevor) MacFarlane of Douglas, NB and Dana (Sarah) Williams of Fort Vermilion, AB; great granddaughter, Kayley MacFarlane; sister, Thelma Hull of Millville, NB; sister-in-law, Josephine Billings of Fredericton, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Ruth Crossman and brothers, Theodore and Dawson Billings.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place at Mactaquac Baptist Church Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
