Totten: Margaret Anna (nee) Purdy
Peacefully at the Welland General Hospital on Sunday May 31, 2009. Margaret Totten in her 81st year. Pre-deceased by her husband of 49 years, the late, Arthur Totten (April 2000). Dearly loved mother of James (Verna) and Ken (Mary) all of Welland. Will be sadly missed by her sisters Esther (Arnold) Matthews of Welland and Charlotte Petit of Oshawa. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jennifer and Michael Totten. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pre-deceased by her sisters Ruth Purdy, Helen Dewar, Jean Stevenson and a brother Edward Purdy. Margaret was born in Truro, Nova Scotia and is pre-deceased by her parents Charles and Annabel Purdy. In keeping with Margaret’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A service of committal will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery (Welland) on Thursday June 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
