Jason Cormier
1987 - 2010 - "An angel was called home" - Moncton - Jason Cormier, 23, passed away peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Born in Moncton, on April 23, 1987, Jason attended METS and was a member of Moncton's Special Olympics. He is survived by his mother, Nadine Gauvin; one sister, Serena Bourque at home; his maternal grandparents, Euclide and Jeannine Gauvin of Dieppe; his paternal grandparents, Aimé and Annie Cormier of Memramcook East; and his father, Oscar Cormier of Alberta.
At the family's request, there will be no visitation. A chapel service will be held at Passage, 625 Mountain Rd, Moncton, on Saturday, September 18 at 10:30 am, followed by a reception. The family wishes to thank all of the Moncton Hospital staff, friends and family whose kindness and support added a ray of sunshine during Jason's stay at the palliative care unit. Donations to the Greater Moncton Association for Community Living or donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
