Elmer Anderson
The passing of Elmer Gordon Anderson of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Gertrude (Peacock) Anderson occurred on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 1, 1923 in Royal Road, NB, he was the son of the late George and Stella Anderson. Elmer was a machine operator with the Department of Transportation for 24 years until his retirement. He was a member of Kingsley Baptist Church. Elmer was an avid hunter. Elmer is survived by his daughter, Marilyn (Phillip) Morgan of McLeod Hill, NB; step daughter, Shirley Wright (John) of Halifax, NS; granddaughter, Lisa Mazerall; step grandchildren, Mark Phillips, Darren Morgan (Melanie) and Stacey Morgan; great grandchildren, Tyler and Caden; step great grandchildren, Joey, Gregory and Davin; step great great granddaughter, Jayden; step great great grandson, Devon; sisters, Annie Graham (Clifford) of Maugerville, NB, Inez Hastings of Fredericton, NB and Jean Elgee of Fredericton, NB; special nephew, Roy Dykeman; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, Elmer was predeceased by his sisters, Gladys Dykeman, Zella Anderson and Thelma Dorcas and infant brother, Keith.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, September 16, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 2 pm with Rev. Chris Emery officiating. Interment will take place in Seymour Memorial Cemetery.
