Entered into glory at the Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, June 3, 2009. Ellen Adkins, aged 73 years. Predeceased by parents Henry John and Eva Burridge, brother-in-law Clayton Hodge. Leaving to mourn with Thanksgiving for her life witness and ministry in the name of Jesus the Risen Christ are her husband Rev. Stephen Adkins; son Philip; sisters: Shirley Burridge, Olda Hodge and Rubyann Mercer (Austin); sister-in-law Rosemary Adkins of England; aunts: Edith Rowe, Margaret Taylor and Mary Handrigan; special cousins: Betty Stewart (Tom) and Don Rowe (Marie) as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Thursday, June 4th from 10-12 noon, 2-4 and 7-9 and on Friday from 9-10 a.m.. Funeral service will be held from The Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Craigmillar Ave. on Friday, June 5th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Rd.
