January 1, 1927 - September 13, 2010. Passed peacefully away at G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Monday September 13, 2010, Arthur Mathias Baker of North West Brook in his 83rd year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his loving wife of 59 years, Lydia; Sons: Gary and wife Linda of North West Brook, Glen and wife Marilyn of Labrador City; Daughters: Sharon Toope and husband Clayton of Mount Pearl, Sheila Baker (Bill) of North West Brook, Cindy Johnson and husband Brian of Oshawa, Ont. 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; Sisters: Joyce (Harvey), Florence, Mable, Vickie, Doris (Ralph); Brothers: Herb (Ada), Bill, and Gerald (Beverley), plus a large circle of family and friends. Pre-deceased by parents Jemima and Frank Norris, and sister Mary. Resting at North West Brook Emmanuel United Church after 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 14. Funeral service will be officiated by Pastor G. Jarvis on Thursday September 16, 2010 at 2 p.m. with interment following at United Church Cemetery, North West Brook.
