It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and sister, Mrs. Barbara Elizabeth Nicholson at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex on May 28, 2009.
She is survived by son, Shawn and granddaughter, Alexandra; son, Todd (Tiffany); granddaughter, Trinity; grandsons Xavier and Marcus all of Kitchener, Ont.; sisters, Elaine (Ches) Cains, Donna (Billy) Burte of Glace Bay, Brenda (Tommy) Campbell of Birch Grove, Wendy (Dodie) Campbell all of Glace Bay; brothers, Douglas (Anne) Jenkins of Kentville, Gerald (Vonnie) Jenkins of Hinton Alta., Freeman Jr. (Joan) Jenkins, Eddie (Ida) Donovan, both of Glace Bay.
Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Freeman and Hazel (Davies) Jenkins and her sister, Marie Jenkins.
There will be a service at Newsom United Church, 15 Dominion St., Glace Bay on Wednesday, June 10, 2009. Reception to follow.
