The passing of Tilman Joseph Martin of Estey's Bridge, NB, husband of the late Blanche (Johnson) Martin occurred on Friday, September 17, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 6, 1924 in Baie Saint Anne, NB, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Jane (Mazerolle) Martin. He was a Pipe Fitter with the Plumbers Union of NB. Tilman enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and playing crib. Tilman is survived by his sons, Tom (Joyce) of Fredericton, NB, Rick (Linda) of Kingsley, NB, Danny (Penny) of Lincoln, NB and Bob (Patty) of Hanwell, NB; daughters, Mary Martin of Kingsley, NB and Joan Dow of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Tim, Sarah, Morgan, Richelle, Mitchell, Ryan, Josh, Robyn, Matthew and Billy; four great grandchildren; sisters, Anita Cook and Helen Robichaud both of Baie Saint Anne, NB; brothers, Edward (Irene) Martin of Fredericton, NB and Ambrose Martin of Killarney, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, Tilman was predeceased by his sisters, Jean Howell, Rose MacIntyre and infant sister, Angus; brothers, Alex, Leo, Bernard and Albert.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, September 19, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, September 20, 2010 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
