TRENTON - Margaret Theresa Barteaux, 82, of the Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou, formerly of Trenton passed away Friday, September 17 in the nursing home.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Agnes (Streatch) Chisholm.
She was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Alpin; daughters: Valerie (Ronald) Weatherbie, Pictou; Catherine (Patrick) Pye, Hamilton, ON.; Joanne (Peter) Thompson, New Glasgow; Angela (Barry Langille), New Glasgow; sons, Allan (Ann), Hampton, N.B.; Frank, Trenton; Darren (Julie Reynolds), Ardoise; grandchildren, Michael, Stephen, Timothy, Jermaine; great-grandchildren, Sabrina and Tyson; sisters, Joan (Alex) MacKenzie, Trenton; Christine (Paul) McCarthy, Mass.; Hazel Kelly, Lower Sackville.
She was predeceased by infant son, Phillip, sisters: Cassie, Viola, Anna, Mae; brothers, Collie, James, Frank.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton. Funeral mass 10 a.m. Tuesday in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow, with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Burial will be in Advocate Harbour Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society. Saint John's CWL will meet at the funeral home at 1:45 p.m. Monday for prayers.
To Shiretown Administration, nurses, LPN's, maintenance staff Tom and Barry, the kindness and love shown to the family and Marg in the last few years will never be forgotten.
