Alice, of Saint John, passed away peacefully at the Carleton Kirk Lodge on September 3, 2010. Alice was born in Saint John on April 22, 1929 daughter of the late Clarence and Mable (Banks) Smith. She was the cherished wife of Lawrence (Larry) for 62 years. Her faith in God was very important to her. As a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church she was the past president of the Harmony Club and actively involved in the Girl Guides Canada. She was also a volunteer at Saint John Regional Hospital, Meals on Wheels and many church functions. She spent over 30 summers in Doaktown enjoying golfing, yard sales and hosting many family and friends. Aside from her husband Alice will be sadly missed by her daughters Sherry (Stephen) Beyea, Debra (Brian) Mason, Lori (Gary) Comeau, sister Joan Duplisea, grandchildren Joe, Tara, Aaron, Matthew, Jeff, Erica, Michelle, Robert, Andrew, Josh, Kira, Beven and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her dearest and best friend Bev Oagles for over 50 years. Predeceased by her only son Terrence (Pat) Tracy, brother Glendon (Joan) Smith, twin sisters Verna and Rosalie.

The memorial service will be held at Castle Funeral Home on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 2 p.m. with reception immediately following.
