September 10th, 1940 – June 6th, 2009 — Passed peacefully away after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. Shirley Irene, age 68 years. Predeceased by her parents Norman and Irene (nee Hussey) Hutchings; parents–in-law Cyril and Lillian (nee Moyst) Russell; brother Kevin; sister Joyce; sister–in–law Helen and special friend and sister–in–law Doreen Thompson. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories her loving husband and best friend of 48 years Douglas Cyril; children Douglas (Mary), Jaqueline (Tony Reid), Betty–Anne (Wayne Durdle) and Ted (Jill). Precious grandchildren who were the light of Nanny’s life; Leah, Casey, Bradley, Dawson, Bryson and Avery. Brothers Maxwell, Norman, Harold and Wayne (Marcella); sisters Violet (Bill Ivany), Daphne Gladys (Tom Mercer), Provey (Rick Roberts), Bernice (Ted Russell), Marilyn (Gerald Winsor and Clarice (Eric Nichols); brothers–in–law Jerry (Verna), Robert (Allison) and Jack (Donna); sisters–in–law Elizabeth (James Buckle) and Sandy (Mick Abbott). Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, bingo buddies and long-time friend and neighbor Audrey Maher. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation will take place on Sunday, June 7th, 2009 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p. m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral Service will take place from Caul’s Chapel on Tuesday, June 9th at 2 p.m. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
