Jeannette M. Landry, 73, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, September 24, 2010. Born in Cocagne, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Edmee (Goguen) Cormier. With her late husband, Edgar, they owned and operated Star Janitorial for many years prior to their retirement. Jeannette attended St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, she enjoyed playing bingo, spending time with her four-legged companion, "Rocky" and socializing with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Jeannette will be sadly missed by her children, Linda Phillips (Don), Donald (Pauline), David (Shelley), Jean-Claude (Elizabeth), all of Moncton and Roger (Lisa), Dieppe; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; brothers, Valerie Cormier, Shediac, Yvon Cormier (Dianne), Florida; sisters, Sara Goguen, Moncton; Alphonsine Polito (Roland), Florida; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edgar J. Landry (December 2007); son, Peter; daughter, Sandra; sister, Rita; brothers, Ronald, Emery and Aurel.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass, St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Tuesday, September 28, 2010, 2:00 pm, Rev. Allison Carroll officiating. Reception following the Mass.
