1936 - 2010 - It is with great sadness that the family of Rosa Léger announces her passing surrounded by her family at her residence in Sainte-Anne de Kent on September 26, 2010 at the age of 74 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 28, 1936 in Sainte-Anne, she lived there most of her life and was the daughter of the late Ozias Richard (1970) and the late Marguerite Girouard (1976). She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and also with her many friends. Rosa will be sadly missed by her husband of 53 years, Alban, her daughter Lise (Barry Gallant) of Moncton, her sons, Olin (Bernice) and René (Gisèle), both of Sainte-Anne, Léo (Line) and Jean (Nicole), both of Dieppe, her grandchildren, Gaétane (Cory Mazerolle), Cynthia, Dominique, and Yanick Léger, Alexandre and Sophie Richard, and her great grandchildren Dawson and Colby Mazerolle, her sister Juliette (Yvon Daigle) from Sainte-Anne and her brother Arthur (Germaine) from Dieppe, as well as many nieces and nephews. Other than her parents, she was predeceased by two daughters, Rina (1977) and Lise (1961), a son, Paul Richard (1995), brothers, Ola (1987/late Lorice), Alvin (1988/Adèle), Joseph (1997/late Lucie), René (2005/Josée), and sisters, Géraldine (1994/late Nazaire Richard), Maria (1995/late Neldy Arsenault), Irène (2002/late Alban Robichaud), Rita (2004/late Fidèle LeBlanc), Oliva (July 2010/late Oscar Allain/late Joachim Robichaud) and Jeanne-Mance (August 2010/late Ivan Wade).
Visitation will be at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room Sainte-Anne de Kent on Tuesday, September 28th, from 7 to 9 and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Church on Wednesday September 29th, 2010 at 7:00 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Dr Georges L Dumont Foundation.
