We the family of the late Harvey McIntyre, regret to announce his passing on June 5, 2009 at his residence.
Born in Glace Bay he was the son of the late John and Isabell (Campbell) McIntyre, Dominion. Harvey was a member of the RCAF and served in various places. He was also a commissionaire in Louisbourg.
Harvey leaves behind to mourn his sisters, Annie (Donald) Roper, Bridgeport, Mary (Art) Kelly, Dominion, Colista (Tom) Poirier, Dominion, Lena (Martin) Sweeney, Gardiner Mines, brothers, Dan (Anna), Gardiner Mines, Bernie (Carol), Dominion. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Vangie Spencer, Margaret MacMullin; brothers, John W. (Son) and Cecil.
There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at St. Eugene's Church, Dominion with Fr. Gerald Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
