It is with great sadness we announce the tragic passing of Allan Matthew Duffett, age 80, from Lower Lance Cove on September 21, 2010. Predeceased by his parents, Chesley and Matilada (nee- Ivany). Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are his wife, Mary; son, Jim (Gail) Duffett; step sons, Doug (Marilyn ) Hiscock, Robert (Patricia) Hiscock; step daughters, Donna Burke ( Paul- deceased); Bonnie (David Burry), Marion Hiscock, Linda (Johnny Marsh); sisters, Blanche (Ray Rogers), Lillian (Doug Ivany), Glenys (Fraser Woodland), Doris (Jim Caravan), Zelda (Joseph Blundell); 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, extended family and special friends. Rested at Vardy's Funeral Home, Hickman's Harbour. Funeral service, officiated by Captains Reid Colbourne and Phyllis Blundell-Colbourne, assisted by Rev. Vera Abbott, took place on Tuesday, September 29, 2010 from the Salvation Army, Hickman's Harbour with interment following at the United Church Cemetery, Britannia.
