Thoms, Frank - We regret to announce the sudden passing of Frank Thoms, 61 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, on Sunday, September 19, 2010. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Alice Thoms of Glace Bay and a niece, Jennifer Thoms. He was an avid gardener and a florist by trade. Frank is survived by his best friend, Rajeev Chowdhury and his children, Sujaya and Aman and Mrs. Rupa Chowdhury; brothers, Peter (Iris), Dartmouth and Robert, Windsor, Ontario; sisters, Iris Pickett (Stan), St. John's, Newfoundland and Mary Alice LeForte (Gerard), Dartmouth; nieces, Lisa, Alison, Carla, Angela and Kristen; nephew, Robert. He will be missed by many other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place and at Frank's request a private interment will take place in Glace Bay. A reception was held from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 22 Acadia Drive, Kentville. The family welcomed friends from 2-4 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010 at V.J. MacGillivray Funeral Home, Reserve Street, Glace Bay.
