It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elsie May King (nee Francis) announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Monday, June 8, 2009 at the age of 79 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: Glenn, Dean, Shawn (Lori), Gary (Corinne), Wayne (Sharon), Craig (Wanda), Paul, Larry, Terry, Bob (Marlene), Jack (Norma), Jim, Joe (Janet), Malcolm (Lorraine); daughters: Tammy, Sandra (Brian) Whalen, Debbie (Rob) Underwood, Karen (Jim) Clark, Barb (Craig) Thompson, Mary (Eugene) Snow, Violet, Monica (Tom) Hilliard; 43 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; brothers: Vern, Francis; sisters: Leta, Kathleen, Millie; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Willis King; parents Myrtle and Stewart Francis; brothers: Tom, Jim, Jackie; sisters: Stella, Florence, Gertrude, Doris, Naomi; daughter Ivy MacPherson; grandson: Terrance Chaulk. Friends may visit St. Columcille Roman Catholic Church in St. Fintan’s on Tuesday beginning at 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. with Father Terry Boland officiating. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Highlands. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted.
