Passed peacefully away after a short but courageous battle with cancer at the Captain William Jackman Memorial Hospital, Labrador City, Gordon P. Sullivan, age 61 years. Predeceased by son JJ, father John, brother Donald, father and mother-in-law Frank and Sadie Furey. Leaving to mourn wife and best friend for 36 years, Helen and son Michael (Samarra), Labrador City; mother Anna, Riverhead, Harbour Grace; brothers and sisters: Helen (Bill), Francis (Charles), Maurice (Margaret), Ed (Viola) and Gerard; sister-in-law: Winnie; brothers-in-law: Jim (Irene) and Gerry; as well as seven nieces and nine nephews; special niece and nephew Melissa and Matthew who grew up with their uncle Gordon in Labrador City plus a number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Penney’s Funeral Home in Labrador City on June 7th. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace, June 9 from 7:30 - 10 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Wednesday, June 10th at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted.
