Bernard McLeod, 68, of 118 Fifth St., Hub, Glace Bay passed away suddenly on Sept. 29, 2010.
Born in Glace Bay, he was a son of the late Michael and Isabel (McDonald) McLeod.
Bernie is survived by sister, Mary Mills; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Michael, Alex, Ginger, Billy and Francis; sisters, Shirley, Rita, Theresa and one in infancy.
Bernie was employed many years ago at Cadegan's Fish Plant. He was also an avid softball pitcher in his younger years. Bernie also enjoyed harness racing and spending time as a member of the Hub Club.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Curry's Funeral Home. There will be a memorial mass for Bernie on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010 at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church. Burial in the parish cemetery.
