It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Beryl Elizabeth Ellsworth, at the Glace Bay Health Care Facility on June 5, 2009, with her family at her side.
Beryl was a longtime resident of Dominion, but also spent many years in Labrador.
Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and friends. Beryl will always be remembered as a very caring and compassionate mother and grandmother. She devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren.
Beryl is survived by daughters, Anne (David), Debbie (Reggie), Ruth; sons, John (Nancy), James (Laura), Jason; grandchildren, Jonathan, Heather, Meaghan, Sarah, Christine, Isabelle, Mitchell, Ryan; and one brother, Donnie. She is also survived by special nieces, Ann, Rosaline, Donna; nephew, Kevin; and sisters and brothers-in-law.
Beryl was predeceased by her parents, Hilda and Vernie Andrews, precious husband, George, sister, Edna Daye and one son in infancy, Georgie.
There will be visitation Thursday, June 11, 2009, at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, 849-7520 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at The Church of the Good Shepherd with Rev. Vernon Reid officiating. Burial in Centerville Cemetery.
