Earlien Verna Sherrard passed away peacefully on Thursday September 30, 2010 at the Victoria Glen Nursing Home, Perth Andover, NB. Born 1924 in Littleton, NB she was the daughter of the late Lyman and Vivian (Much) Matthews. She was predeceased by her husband Hollis Sherrard, daughter Wendy Sherrard; brothers Lyman Matthews, Percy Matthews, Merland Matthews and Boyce Matthews; sisters Zilla Tozer and Lisa Johnston. Earlien worked as an operator for NBTel for many years. She was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons Hollis (Hal) Sherrard (Esther) of Saint John and Michael Sherrard (Rachelle) of Calgary, AB; daughter Debbie Sherrard of Vancouver, BC; four grandchildren Jared, Wesley, Nicolle and Tara; sisters Audrey Somers of Matthews Settlement, Edith Taylor Matthews Settlement and Nellie St. Pierre (Harold) of Hamilton, ON; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424). A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
