
Roberta Corbett
Corbett, Roberta Anne "Bert" - 79 of Dartmouth, formerly of Amherst, passed away Friday, October 1, 2010, at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Cape-Pele, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Lucy (Jacob) Legere. She moved to Amherst at an early age and enjoyed living there most of her life among family and friends. Bert was very talented at many forms of handiwork and expressed her love to others through her gifts of sewing, knitting, crocheting, and quilting. She is survived by daughters, Lynn Corbett, Halifax and Karen (Bruce) Dodge, Dartmouth; grand-children, Brian Dodge, Halifax and Alexa Dodge, Dartmouth; sister Theresa Burns, Amherst; brothers, Lorenzo (Mary), Moncton, Henry (Doris Ann), Amherst, Paul (Bev), Tidnish; sister-in-law, Jean Legere, Lower Sackville; brother-in-law, Gordon Edgett, Amherst; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Mark, sister, Rosella, and brother, Ronald. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 5th from 7 - 9 p.m. with parish prayers at 8:00 p.m. in Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906). Cremation has taken place. The funeral mass will be celebrated in Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst, on Wednesday, October 6th at 2 p.m. with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating. Interment will take place in the St. Charles-Nativity Cemetery, Amherst, followed by a time of fellowship and refreshments in the church hall. Donations in Bert's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association or charity of choice. Kindest appreciation to residents and staff of Parkland at the Lakes retirement community in Dartmouth for your friendship and support during the past year.
