Garfield Morash
STELLARTON - Charles Garfield Morash, age 78, of MacMillan Ave., Stellarton, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, he was the eldest son of the late Lionel G. and Lucy C. (Spears) Morash.
He was a former employee of the New Glasgow Evening News and Michelin Tire from where he retired. He was an avid sport fisherman, especially salmon. Gar was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Charlotte J. (Boehk) Morash; daughter, Nancy Lemaire, Edmonton; grandchildren: Brittany Lemaire, Edmonton; Talon (Melissa) Lemaire, Stellarton; Derek Lemaire, London, ON; great-grandson, Dominic Lemaire, Stellarton; sisters: Norma Morash, Halifax; Miriam (Fergie) MacKay, Trenton; brothers: Kenneth Morash, MacPherson's Mills; Robin (Marion) Morash, Trenton; aunt, Myra McMullen, Trenton; brother-in-law, Ronald (Mildred) Boehk, Westville, sister-in-law, Dorothy (Boehk) Clark, Westville.
He was predeceased by brother-in-law, Theodore Boehk.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service 2 p.m Thursday in Sharon Saint John United Church, Stellarton, with Rev. John Roy officiating. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
