STELLARTON - Dorothy Agnes Cruickshank, age 96 of Maplestone Enhanced Care, Halifax, formerly of Stellarton, passed away October 3, 2010 in Halifax.
Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late James Hugh Dunbar and Mary G. (Kerr) Dunbar.
Dorothy was a resident of Caledonia, Guysborough County, before moving to reside in Stellarton. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton, and a great supporter of the Ladies Guild.
She is survived by daughter, Ann (Derhyk) Wolfe, Liverpool; granddaughter, Catherine Wolfe; son-in-law, Charles Turner, Halifax and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh D. Cruickshank; daughter, Jean Turner; brothers: John, Arthur, William, George and two brothers in infancy; sisters, Margaret and Jessie.
Her remains will rest in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday from First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton, with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. Burial will be in the Hattie Cemetery, Caledonia.
