Vaughan B. Noonan
Peacefully at the Westford Nursing Home, Port Elgin, Vaughan B. Noonan, age 91, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2009. Born in Melrose, he was a son of the late James and Nellie (Hartnett) Noonan. He was formerly employed with CN Rail with 25 years of experience. He was a member of St. Bartholomew¹s Roman Catholic Church, Melrose. The last surviving member of his immediate family, he is survived by nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers, Frank, Eddie, Barry, Elmo and Leon; and two infant sisters. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St., Port Elgin (538-2241) where visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Bartholomew¹s Roman Catholic Church on Thursday at 3 p.m, Father Allison Carroll officiating.
