Passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, William Edward Murphy, aged 79 years, former employee of the Waterford Hospital and the City of St. John's. Predeceased by his wife Hilda (nee Sullivan); parents: Patrick and Nellie Murphy; and granddaughter Mary Ellen O'Rielly. Leaving to mourn his wife Linda Dove; sister Mary Miskell (John); son Patrick; daughters: Theresa Winslow (Richard), Maureen O'Rielly (Gerard), Brenda Smith and Kelly Walsh (Scott); grandchildren: Gina, Christina, Christopher, Jason, Jordan, Manny, Ross, Scott, Lee, Anna Ming and Tracey; great-grandchildren: Brittany, Broderick, Bryson, Ivani, Sophi and Gracy; also a number of other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place at William's request. Visitation to be held from Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Thursday from 2-9 p.m. and then on Friday from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Memorial service to be held from Barrett's Chapel on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at The Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kilbride, NL.
