CAVANAGH (McCRAY), Jean Lillian - 79, Bible Hill, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 5, 2010. Born February 16, 1931, in Hilden, she was a daughter of the late Chris and Eva (McLeod) McCray. Beloved by her family and all she touched, family meant everything to Jean and we remember her with love and appreciation for all that she added to our lives. She was co-owner of Cavanagh's Food Market where she and Lloyd operated a successful business for over 50 years. Jean is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Lloyd; children, Alice (Ken) Gibbons, Ben, Connie, Shawn (Michele); grandchildren, Michelle, Sarah, Mary, Katie, Laura, Drew, Mark, Jake, Nathan; brothers, Daniel and Wayne McCray. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Faye Johnson; brother, Gary McCray. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Jean's family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., today, October 7, 2010, and where the funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, October 8, 2010, Reverend Frank Locke officiating.
