It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Kevin Blanchard announce his passing at his Family Residence in St. George’s on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the age of 80 years. He leaves to mourn with many precious memories his wife Mary (nee: Louvelle); children: Martin (Karen), Joyce (Allan) McLean, Gilbert (Vicky), Wade; grandchildren: Erik and Ashtyn McLean, Travis and Samantha Blanchard, Natalie and Rachael Blanchard; brother Raymond as well as other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Louis and Ester Blanchard; brother William and sister Bernadette Keough. Visitation will take place from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, St. George’s on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. from where the Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Gerard Patry officiating. To honor Kevin’s wishes cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium and interment of the ashes will take place following the service at the Roman Catholic Cemetery , Shallop Cove. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or a donation may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
