It is with great sadness that the family of the late Grenfell Hoffe of Deer Lake announce his passing in the presence of his loving family on Monday, Sept. 27, 2010 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook in his 63rd year. He will be sadly missed by his best friend and wife Lillian (nee Rumbolt); number one dad to Todd (Trina) Hoffe, Debbie (Shawn) Pomeroy and Travis (Rachel) Hoffe; best poppy in the world to Melanie Hoffe, T.J. Hoffe, Ashley Pomeroy, Ethan Hoffe and Caleb Hoffe; cherished son of Beatrice Hoffe, and his brothers, and best buddies Herb (Ruth) Hoffe, and David (Joanne) Hoffe, also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Frank Hoffe. Visitation took place on Wednesday at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake. Funeral service took place on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Anglican Church with Canon Meade officiating. Interment followed at the family plot on Wights Road. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Diabetes Society in Grenfell's memory would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
